We have compiled a list of activities to help the visitor become familiar with the Denali area and to
assist in planning your Alaskan vacation.  We recommend staying 2 to 3 days in the Denali area to
fully enjoy everything that is offered.  Be sure to plan one full day to take the Park Service shuttle bus into
 Denali National Park. 

Shuttle Bus Reservations

2009 Advance Reservation Shuttle Schedule

Shuttle Bus Reservations can be made in any of the following ways:

1.  Online reservations at www.reservedenali.com

2.  Fax your reservation form to : 1-907-264-4684 between December 1st and August 31st for the upcoming season.  IMPORTANT: In order to obtain the reservation form you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader.  If you do not have the current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can download it from their website for free.

3.  Mail your reservation form to: Doyon/Aramark Joint Venture, 2445 W. Dunlap Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85021. Reservations are accepted from December 1st, 2008 through August 31, 2009 for the 2009 season.

4.  Phone reservations for 2009 begin December 1st, 2008 and run through September 17, 2009.  Hours are 7:00am - 5:00pm Arizona time.  Nationwide: 1-800-622-7275, International: 1-907-272-7275

5.  Reservations can be made in person at the Wilderness Access Center reservation desk (inside the park) up to two days in advance.

Denali National Park and Preserve Shuttle Bus Fees for 2009:

Adults 18 and over: To Toklat-$24.50, To Eilson Visitor Center-$31.45, To Wonder Lake-$42.95

Young Adults 15-17: To Toklat-$12.35, To Eilson Visitor Center-$31.45, To Wonder Lake-$21.50

Children 14 and under are free.

Another day can be spent doing a local activity such as whitewater rafting or
flightseeing combined with some time at the Denali National Park Visitor Center.  A third day is an
excellent opportunity to take a day trip to Fairbanks.  Only a 2-hour drive from our hotel, you can
do a full day of activities in Fairbanks and be back in the Denali area for dinner. The following is a
list of suggested activities in Denali and Fairbanks.

Half-Day activities in Denali National Park

Tour the Denali Visitor Center Free
Go to a Sled Dog Demonstration Free
Take a drive to Savage River 15 miles into the park, hike or picnic
Go for a hike many trails start from the park entrance
